Lights on your dashboard can mean many different things.  For the most part, red lights mean there is a problem that needs to be addressed immediately; such as a low oil pressure light, which means pull over and turn off your engine ASAP!  Yellow or orange lights usually indicate a problem that is not urgent, but should be looked into fairly soon. And green or blue lights are usually showing that something is operational, such as your high beam headlights or cruise control are on.
