When this light is on, it is telling you that you have low or no engine oil pressure. This light should be on when the ignition is on and the engine is off. If this light is on while the engine is running, you could be low on engine oil, or you have a more serious problem. Do NOT continue to run your engine with this light on or major engine damage could occur.
